NBS Specification Writer- Islington, London

A prestigious interior design and architecture practice, situated in beautifully converted offices in Islington, offering a relaxed working environment over an initial 2 month period; with the potential for this to be extended further down the line.

Established in 2008, the practice has earned an enviable reputation, specialising in a variety of projects ranging from large commercial buildings and office fit-outs to residential projects. They are a small team of architectural and interiors staff, and the practice is currently run by the founder of the business, who holds over 18 years’ experience in the design industry and has a great amount of involvement in the daily running of the office and their projects.

The company’s portfolio currently holds an array of projects in a variety of sectors, such as high end, bespoke private dwellings and multi-unit residential and commercial projects.

Roles & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be working closely alongside the Director with the rest of the team, creating construction details and NBS specifications. You will be working on a variety of projects in and outside of London, ranging from high-end bespoke single dwellings to mid and large scale multi-unit residential and commercial projects.

This role is offered on a 2 month contract basis, but there would be potential to stay on longer or permanently for the right candidate.

Required Skills & Experience
– A demonstrable background in the architectural sector, with solid experience creating NBS documentations and construction details
– Strong technical ability
– Proficient in AutoCAD
– Excellent understanding of UK building regulations
– Good communication and presentation skills

Salary & Package:

The successful candidate will be rewarded with an hourly rate of £15 – £17 per hour, depending on experience.
