Mid- Weight Interior Designer

An AJ Top 100 practice with many years of experience and an ever-growing list of accolades to back their success. Their collaborative team delivers services across the architecture, interior design, urban design, masterplanning, graphics and branding sectors in the UK.

With a growing pipeline of projects, they are now looking for a Mid-Weight Interior Designer with commercial experience to join them on a permanent basis. The practice works on commercial workplace projects as well as leisure, education, mixed-use and residential schemes. The ability to work across different sectors and at varied projects stages is a must.

Role & Responsibilities

As the only in-house Interior Designer, you will be involved in all project stages and will work with architects, technicians and third parties. Mains tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Developing design concepts alongside the architects in charge of each projects
• Space planning
• FF&E
• Producing technical packages/detailed drawings
• On site inspections
• Liaising with architects, suppliers and third parties as needed

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years’ interior design/interior architecture experience
• Commercial workplace experience is essential. Previous experience working on leisure/hospitality/ education projects would be beneficial
• Strong background working across all project stages
• Good technical knowledge and abilities
• Experience working alongside architects/other teams
• Team player
• Proficiency with Microstation would be advantageous but training will be provided

• Excellent software skills are essential; AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Sketch Up

  Salary & Package

• Circa £35,000 plus pension scheme

• 20 days holiday allowance + Bank Holidays + Christmas shutdown
