Job Summary

Freelance FF&E Interior Designer Job Sw london is available with an established interior design studio. The role is within the Interior Design sector, working on luxury residential projects in the UK and overseas. You will support contemporary high-end interiors for HNWI clients across full project stages.

This position is FF&E led, although all-round interior design candidates will be considered. You will work on concept development, space planning, design proposals, sourcing, scheduling, and procurement. The studio is part of a larger multidisciplinary practice delivering projects worldwide.

This confidential design studio has a strong track record delivering exquisite luxury interiors. Their work includes high-end residential projects for HNWI clients in the UK and overseas. The team forms part of a larger multidisciplinary practice working on projects worldwide.

Their interiors are contemporary, refined, and focused on quality materials and bespoke detailing. They are now seeking a creative Mid Weight Interior Designer for an FF&E led position.

The environment suits someone proactive, design focused, and confident managing luxury sourcing and scheduling. You will work with internal teams, external consultants, suppliers, contractors, and third parties.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Work on high-end residential projects from initial design stages through to completion
  • Report to the Design Manager and Design Director on progress, design development, and delivery
  • Assist with design research, concept development, space planning, and wider creative project tasks
  • Produce and present design proposals that communicate contemporary luxury interior design concepts clearly
  • Manage FF&E tasks including sourcing, scheduling, procurement, and coordination with project requirements
  • Liaise with internal teams, external teams, suppliers, contractors, and third parties throughout projects
  • Support bespoke furniture and joinery design through detailed research, specification, and coordination

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum of four years experience working on luxury residential, hotel, or yacht projects
  • Proven experience working on contemporary schemes is essential for this interior design position
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills when developing proposals and liaising with project stakeholders
  • Highly creative with ability to develop innovative design concepts and considered client proposals
  • Confident working across FF&E sourcing, procurement, scheduling, and detailed supplier coordination
  • Ability to design bespoke furniture and joinery for luxury residential interior design schemes
  • Strong knowledge of luxury materials, finishes, and suppliers across high-end interior projects
  • Proficient with InDesign, Photoshop, and Esti, with AutoCAD experience considered welcome

Salary & Benefits

  • £36,000 – £42,000
  • 1 day working from home
  • Possibility to increase to 2 days working from home after probation
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
