This opportunity is with a multidisciplinary practice established in 2008 and based in North London. The business has a team of 50 architectural and interior design staff delivering high-end projects across hospitality, commercial, retail and residential sectors.
Its portfolio includes refurbishment and new build schemes across varied project types. With an exciting pipeline of work, the practice is now seeking an experienced Mid Weight Interior Designer for its commercial team. The studio offers a collaborative environment with strong design standards and a focus on creative project delivery.
Role & Responsibilities
- Work on interior design projects from initial concept stages through to final completion
- Produce design schemes and put together presentations for clients and wider project teams
- Work across all FF&E stages including concept design, bespoke furniture and joinery
- Prepare specifications, soft finishes, hard finishes and detailed schedules for project delivery
- Produce interior architecture drawing packages including space planning, elevations and joinery design
- Collaborate with architects and other team members when project coordination support is needed
- Attend site inspections and installations to support quality control and project completion
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors and third parties throughout design and delivery stages
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum four years of experience working on projects from start through to completion
- Experience and interest in commercial, hospitality, retail and leisure interior design projects
- Good concept development abilities with experience producing strong design schemes and presentations
- Experience working across all FF&E stages from concept through to final schedules
- Good knowledge of materials, finishes and suppliers within interior design project delivery
- Good interior architecture experience with ability to produce drawing packs and detailed drawings
- Experienced using Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Suite within professional design environments
- Strong presentation and communication skills for clients, suppliers and internal project teams
Salary & Benefits
- Salary offered between £40,000 – £45,000 depending on previous experience and design background
- 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays, increasing by one day per year of service
