Job Summary

A Mid Weight Interior Designer job in North London is available with an established interior design practice specialising in high-end residential projects. This is a permanent Interior Design role offering involvement across all stages of luxury residential projects. You will work from initial concept development through technical design, FF&E, installation and project completion.

The position suits an experienced all-rounder who can work on multiplet projects while maintaining strong design standards. You will assist in the production of presentations, mood boards, sample boards and technical drawings for residential interiors.

The role also includes sourcing, procurement and development of bespoke furniture and lighting pieces. This Mid Weight Interior Designer job requires confident communication with clients, suppliers and project stakeholders. You will also supervise work on site and support junior members of the design team. Strong FF&E knowledge and proven luxury residential experience are central requirements for this position.

This established interior design practice has a close-knit team delivering high-end residential projects across London. Their client base includes private clients and developer clients requiring individually tailored interior solutions. The studio works with an extensive network of reputable suppliers across furniture, lighting and related interior products.

Their work includes bespoke furniture and lighting developed to suit individual project requirements. Projects require involvement from early concepts through design development, procurement, installation and completion. This role provides responsibility across the complete design process while supporting the wider team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Work on high-end residential projects from initial concept through completion with direction from the Director
  • Produce detailed client presentations, mood boards and sample boards throughout different project stages
  • Manage FF&E activities including sourcing, procurement and development of bespoke pieces
  • Produce technical drawings to design intent level including elevations required for residential interior projects
  • Support junior members of the team as needed
  • Liaise directly with clients, suppliers and third parties

Skills & Experience Required

  • Bring at least 4 years of UK professional experience working on luxury residential interior projects
  • Demonstrate proven experience working on projects from initial concept through installation, completion and snagging stages
  • Show strong concept development and implementation abilities
  • Work confidently across all FF&E stages including sourcing, procurement and development of bespoke pieces
  • Good interior architecture and ability to produce drawings to design intent
  • Proven experience liaising directly with clients, suppliers and third parties
  • Use AutoCAD, Esti, Photoshop and InDesign proficiently. SketchUp knowledge beneficial

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary of circa £40,000 (DOE)
  • One day working from home each week
  • 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays
