Microstation Technician / Technical Architect / Technical Architectural Assistant (4 Month Contract) - Brixton, London

Hunter Dunning are proud to be representing this award-winning Architecture and Design practice based in Brixton. Specialists in the transportation sector taking on commissions for leading engineering consultants and major contractors they have undertaken projects internationally for a variety of rail systems. Most recent projects include two major UK train station refurbishments in London and a Metro station in Ireland.
The practice has also just recently introduced an infrastructure specialist to the team and bridge design will soon be a key sector for the firm. My client now seek a highly motived Microstation Technician, to join them in their London based Oval office, on a contract basis for the duration of 4 months.

Role & Responsibilities

Alongside two other team members, you will work specifically across the technical stages of a rail project that is currently underway. Although rail project experience is admirable, it is not vital for this role. The focus for this position is your ability in using Microstation on large-scale complex projects, as you will be expected to hit the ground running upon joining the team.

Required Skills & Experience

• A minimum of 2 years UK experience
• Fully qualified as a Technician/Technologist or Part II equivalent
• Proficiency in Microstation is imperative for this position
• Confident working independently
• Experience working predominantly on large scale projects throughout your professional experience
• Experience in Government, Transport or rail is beneficial, but not essential
• Exception technical ability
• Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Excellent understanding of technical drawings
• Fantastic understanding of UK building regulations
• Happy with your focus being detailed drawing packages
• Experience using Microstation to a high standard on largescale projects in professional practice

Salary & Package

£20 – £30 per hour DOE
