This established design practice employs more than 120 architects, designers and creatives across 3 studios. Teams collaborate across architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, interiors and visualisation disciplines to deliver coordinated project solutions.

The Landscape Architecture & Urban Design team works alongside architects from the earliest stages of design, ensuring landscape strategies are integrated into wider development proposals. This approach allows landscape design to shape placemaking outcomes while maintaining strong technical coordination.

Projects span a wide range of sectors including residential development, education campuses, public realm improvements and leisure facilities. The landscape team has delivered schemes including public parks, school environments and urban regeneration projects across the UK.

Collaboration forms a key part of the studio culture. Designers work closely with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure concepts are grounded in practical delivery while maintaining design quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead landscape design projects from concept through detailed design stages
  • Prepare landscape masterplans, concept drawings and detailed technical packages
  • Undertake landscape appraisals and LVIA studies where required
  • Coordinate landscape design information with architects and consultants
  • Support planning submissions and landscape strategies
  • Contribute to public realm and residential landscape schemes
  • Attend project meetings with clients and multidisciplinary design teams
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring for junior landscape staff

The Senior Landscape Architect Job Gloucester will involve project leadership within the Landscape Architecture & Urban Design team while maintaining close collaboration with architecture and urban design colleagues.

Skills & Experience Required

  • 5 to 10 years professional experience in landscape architecture
  • Chartered Landscape Architect status or working towards CMLI
  • Strong creative design skills with passion for public realm and landscape spaces
  • Experience delivering landscape projects from concept to technical stages
  • Knowledge of landscape planning processes and LVIA preparation
  • Proficiency in design software such as Vectorworks, AutoCAD or Keyscape
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage projects independently while collaborating with wider teams

Candidates should demonstrate the ability to balance design creativity with practical landscape delivery, ensuring proposals respond to environmental, social and planning requirements.

Salary & Benefits

  • £42,000 – £52,000 salary depending on experience
  • Hybrid working with up to two days remote working per week after probation
