Job Summary

Interior Designer Interior Design job in Central London, Central London is available with a leading furniture dealership. This role focuses on workplace design, space planning and corporate furniture selection for clients across London and Europe.

The successful candidate will assist the sales team with product specification, furniture layouts and client presentation work. You will produce space plans, develop furniture schemes and create 3D renders for commercial workplace projects.

The role includes direct communication with clients, suppliers and internal team members throughout design stages. This Interior Designer position suits someone with workplace sector experience and strong technical software skills. Remote working on Fridays and a Central London office location are included within the role.

Established over two decades ago, this privately owned furniture dealership is one of the most connected businesses in its London market. The company works with architecture practices, design and build firms, developers and end users across London and Europe.

Its team of more than 20 people supports clients with furniture specification, space planning and workplace design solutions. The business currently operates from Farringdon and has planned relocation to Shoreditch. This offers an opportunity to join a growing team within a vibrant design environment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist the sales team with product specification and furniture selection for workplace projects
  • Liaise with clients to understand project requirements, design aesthetics and furniture needs
  • Produce space planning schemes and furniture layout plans for commercial workplace environments
  • Create 3D renders to support client presentations and internal design development discussions
  • Assist with client meetings and supplier liaison throughout workplace design project stages
  • Visit sites when required to support project understanding and furniture layout coordination

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum two years experience in interior design or space planning within workplace design
  • Degree qualification in interior design or a similar relevant design subject required
  • Proficiency using AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, SketchUp and 3Ds Max within design workflows
  • Experience with corporate furniture selection and furniture specifications for commercial workplace projects
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers and internal sales team members
  • Ability to produce clear space plans, layouts and renders supporting client design decisions

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary offered up to £33,000 depending on experience and workplace design background
  • Remote working available on Fridays as part of the weekly working arrangement
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays included within the holiday allowance
  • Three annual leave days retained for the Christmas shutdown period each year
  • Working hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm within the standard office schedule
