Interior Designer - Shoreditch, London

Join a successful private developer based in the social hub of Shoreditch and take full responsibility for the design of two, traditional high-end residential properties. The role could be permanent or contract and offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work remotely.

With offices in London and Norwich and a varied portfolio of projects ranging from large classical style country-side homes, to large housing and commercial developments across the UK, no brief is too complicated for the practice.

Currently working on two private residences for one of their investors, they are looking for an experienced Interior Designer with a strong portfolio of traditional and period properties, to join their team. The successful candidate will be fully involved in both projects simultaneously and will be responsible for all FF&E design stages, from initial client brief through to completion.

Role & Responsibilities

You will be responsible for two private residential projects, one in the Cotswolds and one in Sydney, Australia. Working alongside the architectural team, and reporting directly to the company’s director, you will be in charge of everything, from concept development and mood boards, through to FF&E selection, installation and after care.

This role is fully FF&E design focused, no technical abilities are required. However, you must be able to read plans and work collaboratively with architects and technicians, on and off site. You will also be required to liaise directly with suppliers, contractors and third parties.

A passion for all-things-traditional is a must, as you could be designing bespoke pieces for both properties. On-site supervision is also part of the job, therefore the ability to travel to site is required.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years’ experience working on traditional high end residential projects
• Proven track record of successfully delivering briefs through to completion
• Experience working on all FF&E Stages; concept development, mood boards, scheduling, procurement and implementation
• Experience liaising directly with clients, suppliers and contractors
• Knowledge of materials, finishes and suppliers
• On-site experience
• Ability to read plans and technical drawings

Salary & Package

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a salary of up to £55,000 fully dependent on experience + 25 days holiday per year.
