Role & Responsibilities

• Engage with clients and end users to define design briefs and project requirements
• Conduct site feasibility assessments to understand spatial constraints and opportunities
• Develop mood boards, schematic concepts and detailed 2D and 3D layouts
• Apply inclusive and universal design principles across projects
• Ensure compliance with UK building regulations including fire safety and Health and Safety standards
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants and suppliers regarding M and E and life safety systems
• Specify furniture, fixtures, finishes and materials aligned with budget and brief
• Prepare cost estimates that align with project timelines and financial constraints
• Collaborate with procurement teams, contractors and suppliers throughout delivery
• Attend site installations and final project walkthroughs
• Resolve minor defects and ensure project completion meets design intent
• Maintain an up to date design portfolio and awareness of design innovation

Skills & Experience Required

• Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related discipline
• Strong creative and spatial design capability with attention to detail
• Understanding of accessibility, inclusion and UK building regulations
• Experience preparing presentation materials and technical drawings
• Working knowledge of Vectorworks software is essential
• Excellent communication skills when engaging with clients and stakeholders
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Organised and solution focused approach to design delivery
• Commercial awareness when working within project budgets
• Right to work in the United Kingdom

Salary & Benefits

• Salary up to £34,000 depending on experience
• 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
