Our client is seeking an Interior Design Manager to join their established hospitality group for their West London office. The successful candidate will be fluent in English and French, with extensive experience in the hospitality sector – managing projects from economy to high-end. Client management experience and strong skills in 2D and 3D design packages are essential to this role.

Established for over half a century, our client has a large multinational portfolio across the hospitality sector. The group consists of owned, managed and franchised properties. Projects will require support and involvement with new properties and property renovation/rebranding. The role will involve liaising with all stakeholders, including the internal teams of Interior Designers, Architects, Consultants and Project Managers. Our client operates with multiple projects running at the same time, at different stages. Communication and an adaptable management style are key to success in this role.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and advise on final layout plans, drawings and specifications (interior design and FF&E) ensuring they meet the client’s requirements both technically and operationally
  • Prepare and compile documents for consultants on new projects. Reviewing and commenting on designs to ensure brand alignment, accuracy of design and budgetary/operational matters.
  • Able to manage multiple projects at the same time, at different stage and to meet varying requirements
  • Compose written recommendations, reports and minutes for clients and project teams.
  • Ensure designs meet a high level of consistency and attention to detail is seen at all stages of the projects
  • Regularly communicate updates of the projects to the team and client
  • Attend site meetings or internal workshops as and when required, in the UK or Europe.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven interior design and project management experience from a range of projects, ranging from economy to high-end. Experience in the hospitality sector is highly desirable
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, handling multiple projects at once.
  • Experience of managing client relationships throughout the design and construction process
  • Strong technical and drawing skills in both 2D and 3D packages, including AutoCAD and Adobe Suite
  • Attention to detail and desire to work at a high standard
  • Experience of overseeing FF&E and interior design specifications
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of all stages of the design process, concept to delivery.
