Job Summary

Head of Interior Architecture job Surrey within a luxury residential Interior Design studio. This permanent role is with a high-end interior design studio specialising in luxury residential interiors for private clients and developers in the UK and internationally. The role will oversee interior architecture across all projects, checking technical output, supporting resourcing and assisting programmes.

You may also manage your own project alongside wider team leadership responsibilities. The position needs a personable, technically savvy individual with strong client liaison skills and commercial awareness. The successful candidate will join a close-knit team of 16, working four days in the office and one day from home. The company is a leading high-end interior design studio based in Surrey. They work on luxury residential interiors for private clients and developers across the UK and internationally. Projects require meticulous attention to detail, strong interior architectural detailing, technical documentation and confident delivery across all stages.

Their friendly team currently has 16 people, who all work together to deliver complex, high-end projects to the highest standards. The practice will consider senior interior architects stepping up or experienced leaders seeking a new challenge.

Role & Responsibilities

• Oversee interior architecture across all projects, checking technical quality, detailing and documentation before issue
• Support project resourcing and programmes, helping the team plan workloads and delivery priorities
• Lead luxury residential projects through all stages, maintaining quality and coordination throughout the process
• Provide confident client liaison, presentations and technical input for private clients and developer projects
• Manage own projects directly alongside wider oversight of interior architecture work
• Contribute to operational management duties shared with senior leadership within the studio
• Work closely with the design team to maintain standards across UK and international projects

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 10 years of UK experience working within interior architecture, ideally across luxury residential projects
• Strong knowledge of interior architectural detailing, technical documentation and technical project delivery requirements
• Proven experience leading luxury residential projects across all stages
• Excellent client-facing, presentation and communication skills with outstanding client liaison ability
• Good commercial awareness and confidence supporting decisions around resources, programmes and delivery
• Essential AutoCAD knowledge, with SketchUp or additional software experience a bonus
• Valid driving licence and access to a car

• Salary fully flexible dependent on experience
