Role & Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary communications team covering PR, marketing, graphics and internal communications functions
• Define and implement a clear communications strategy aligned with business goals and architectural project delivery
• Oversee press relations, media outreach and editorial planning to secure consistent and high quality industry coverage
• Manage production of publications, digital content and case studies to support brand positioning and business development
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, institutions and professional bodies across the architecture sector
• Collaborate with directors to develop individual profiles and support thought leadership opportunities within the industry
• Ensure consistency across website, social platforms and digital channels to maintain a strong and engaging presence
• Support awards submissions, events and speaking opportunities to enhance visibility and professional recognition

Skills & Experience Required

• Significant experience leading communications, PR or marketing functions within a professional services or design environment
• Proven ability to develop and deliver strategic communications plans that achieve measurable visibility and engagement outcomes
• Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex design ideas into clear narratives
• Strong organisational and project management skills with experience delivering multiple campaigns simultaneously
• Experience managing digital platforms including websites, social media channels and content management systems
• Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and provide confident guidance on communications strategy
• People focused leadership style with experience developing and mentoring high performing creative teams
• Understanding of architecture, design or built environment sectors is beneficial but not essential

Salary & Benefits

• Salary range of £70,000 to £90,000 depending on experience and leadership capability
