My client, established in 2004 has evolved into one of the Midlands leading architectural practices, with a reputation for delivering high quality architecture within various sectors including Education, Private Residential, Commercial, Social Care, Masterplanning and Heritage. Growing to over 70 staff members, the studio works with a large number of frameworks, and local authorities including housing associations and private clients, to provide a dedicated design led architectural service with an emphasis on quality, deliverability & reliability.

They are now looking for a talented Graphic Designer with a passion for Marketing to join the team, the ideal person will have experience in the design and production of various marketing material such as brochures for print and digital as well as PowerPoint presentations and other documents.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Apply clients branding to bespoke documents including bid documents and presentations
  • Incorporate changes recommended by clients or management staff and review designs for errors before printing or publishing them
  • Manage social media platforms and ensure consistency throughout in design and engagement
  • Maintain the website and update when necessary
  • Work with management staff on content for news articles and social media posts
  • Stay up to date with both industry and world news as well as social media trends
  • Take photographs of new members of staff for the website and projects CVs (and edit accordingly)
  • Organise and take photographs to accompany news articles now and again
  • Look out for upcoming industry awards and put together submissions
  • Occasionally assist the Admin team with answering phones if busy.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
  • Experience in working in Design is a bonus but not essential
  • Strong graphic design/layout skills
  • Skilled in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, with skills in Adobe Illustrator would be desirable but not essential
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and use of CMS is desired but not essential
  • Skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Basic photography skills with good creativity
  • Social media savvy with a strong eye for detail
  • Deadline-oriented with good time-management skills.
