Job Summary

Freelance Senior Interior Designer Job Sw london is available with an award-winning luxury developer. The role is within the Interior Design sector, working on a luxury residential development in the UK. You will support concept development, FF&E, and interior architecture stages on a high-end private project.

This part-time freelance contract is offered for 2 days per week from mid September until December. You will liaise directly with the client, present design proposals, and attend weekly London meetings. The role includes space planning, look and feel boards, sourcing, scheduling, procurement, and consultant coordination.

They are seeking a Senior Interior Designer on a contract or freelance basis. The role focuses on a high-end private residential project requiring concept and delivery input. You will support client-facing design work, FF&E, technical coordination, and regular project meetings.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Work fully on a high-end private residential project across agreed interior design stages
  • Liaise directly with the client and present design proposals, updates, and project information
  • Work across project stages from concept development through to FF&E and interior architecture
  • Manage FF&E tasks including sourcing, scheduling, procurement, and detailed coordination with suppliers
  • Coordinate consultants and contractors as needed to support progress and project delivery
  • Attend weekly site meetings and client meetings in London throughout the contract period
  • Support concept development, space planning, look and feel boards, and design presentation material

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum of five years experience working on luxury residential projects within the UK
  • Experience producing space planning, concept design, and look and feel boards or proposals
  • Confidence reporting to the Lead Designer while supporting project progress and design development
  • Strong FF&E experience including bespoke pieces, supplier research, antiques, artwork, and vintage furniture
  • Ability to work on interior architecture and technical stages as needed during project delivery
  • Experience liaising regularly with internal teams, external teams, consultants, and project stakeholders
  • Confidence attending regular site visits to track project progress and review design quality

Salary & Benefits

  • £250 – £350 per day
  • Flexible daily rate for outstanding candidates
  • Contract length is 2 days per week from mid September until December
