Role & Responsibilities

• Undertake fire risk assessments across residential properties to identify risks and ensure compliance with current legislation
• Carry out external wall inspections to support façade assessments and building safety evaluations
• Produce clear technical reports outlining findings, risks, and recommended remedial actions for clients
• Attend site visits across the South Coast region to inspect buildings and assess fire safety measures
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to communicate findings and support project delivery
• Assist in FRAEW related inspections and reporting with guidance from senior engineers where required
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, reports, and compliance documentation across projects

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum three years experience in fire surveying, fire risk assessment, or a related building safety role
• Understanding of UK fire safety legislation and guidance relevant to residential buildings
• Experience conducting fire risk assessments and producing structured technical reports
• Ability to manage site visits independently and organise workload across multiple projects
• Strong communication skills when engaging with clients and explaining technical findings clearly
• Experience or interest in external wall systems and façade inspections would be beneficial
• Relevant qualifications in fire safety, building surveying, or similar technical discipline preferred

Salary & Benefits

• Salary range of £45,000 to £60,000 depending on experience and level of responsibility
