Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead small to medium sized fire engineering projects with support from senior project management teams
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to develop compliant fire safety design solutions
  • Prepare fire strategies and retrospective fire strategies for new and existing buildings
  • Produce detailed fire engineering reports to support regulatory approvals and compliance
  • Review subcontractor technical packages to ensure alignment with fire safety standards
  • Manage technical queries from clients and design teams across multiple projects
  • Support project management across full lifecycle stages from concept to completion
  • Contribute to fire dynamics analysis including smoke movement, heat transfer, and occupant safety

Skills & Experience Required

  • Engineering Council accredited BEng Hons or equivalent qualification within fire engineering discipline
  • Minimum Associate membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers or working towards chartership
  • Proven experience delivering fire engineering solutions across UK construction projects
  • Strong understanding of UK fire safety legislation, building regulations, and guidance documents
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining quality and deadlines
  • Experience producing technical reports and using fire modelling or analysis tools
  • Strong communication skills to engage with clients and multidisciplinary design teams effectively
  • Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for site visits and project travel

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary range between £35,000 and £45,000 depending on experience and level
