FF&E Designer Job in New York, NY, USA

New requirement for an FF&E Designer job with a leading multidisciplinary design firm based near Union Square, New York. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience, primarily within high-end hospitality design (hotels & F&B). The position will be focused on FF&E schemes, selection, and procurement for high-end and award-winning projects across the globe.

Established over 30 years ago, our client now has around 300 members of staff working from several offices across the US and Europe. The practice is well-known and frequently recognized for its high-end projects, particularly within the hospitality sector. They now seek an experienced FF&E Designer with a strong background in custom furniture and finishes to join their team on a permanent basis.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Establish designs and FF&E selections
  • Create custom furniture drawings
  • Liaise with vendors on customization options and lead times
  • Procurement of FF&E, artwork, and accessories
  • Assist with design presentations, creation of mood boards, 3D models, and specifications/drawings.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of industry experience, primarily within high-end hospitality
  • Procurement experience
  • Degree qualified in Furniture Design, Interior Design, or similar
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and the Adobe Suite, 3d skills, or strong hand sketching skills are also desirable.
