Job Summary
Architectural Assistant Job London within the architecture sector, supporting the delivery of residential and heritage-led projects across London and the wider UK. This role is suited to an experienced Architectural Assistant with RIBA Part 2 qualification and post-qualification experience, including exposure to later RIBA stages, particularly Stage 4 and Stage 5. Role & Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of technical drawing packages for RIBA Stage 4 and Stage 5 project delivery.
- Support project teams in coordinating design information across consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
- Produce high-quality drawings and presentations that communicate design intent clearly and accurately.
- Contribute to detailing of projects, ensuring compliance with UK building regulations and technical standards.
- Assist with the adaptation and refurbishment of existing and listed buildings with appropriate sensitivity.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual tasks and meeting project deadlines.
- Engage with project documentation and assist in maintaining accurate and organised project records.
Skills & Experience Required
- RIBA Part 2 qualified Architectural Assistant with a minimum of one year post-qualification experience.
- Exposure to RIBA Stage 4 and Stage 5, including involvement in technical drawing and detailing.
- Good understanding of UK building regulations, planning frameworks and construction processes.
- Strong drawing and presentation skills, with attention to detail and clarity of communication.
- Awareness of building technologies, environmental design principles and construction methodologies.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work across multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, supporting collaboration with internal and external teams.
- Interest in conservation and historic buildings, with some experience working on existing structures.
