Employers Agent job in Reading, Berkshire / Remote Working, for an international and leading multidisciplinary consultancy. They are looking to expand their team with an additional Employers Agent to join their Cost Management team and aid in the successful delivery of residential, education, healthcare and retail schemes across mainly Hampshire and Berkshire. Salary up to £60,000 + Car Allowance £4.3k – £4.8k + 28 Days Holiday + BH + Remote Working (1+ day per week in Reading office)

They are a leading global cost consultant partner and completely employee-owned in the UK. They offer cost management, project and programme management, specialist consultancy and digital services. Delivering cost-effective and sustainable projects for their international client base. The role sits within the cost management team and will be initially working on residential/affordable housing projects and then moving on to different sectors across education, healthcare, commercial and retail as their Employers Agent team grows in that region. To be considered you must have a background as an Employers Agent, Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor or Building Surveyor from either consultancy or client-side and have largescale new build residential experience.

Role & Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the commercial and contractual performance of projects
• Support the commercial procurement and contractual strategies
• Assist with the preparation of cost budgets, appraisals and reviews
• Provide advice to clients on development plans
• Value Engineering / Value Management
• Undertake Design Reviews
• Project and Programme Reviews
• Implement risk management process
• Advise on procurement strategy
• Production of tender lists
• Prepare and Issue Tender Documents and evaluate tender responses
• Prepare contract recommendation reports and
• Produce contract documents
• Contractor interim payments
• Cost Reports and Forecasting
• Variations
• Site visits to monitor progress, inspections and manage handover.

Required Skills & Experience

• RICS Accredited Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or similar
• Consultancy or client-side background
• Residential experience is essential
• Largescale project experience (schemes up to £500m)
• MRICS or working towards or similar relevant accreditation
• Strong Feasibility and Cost Planning experience
• Pre and Post Contract and commercial experience
• Client Facing experience.
