Draughtsperson - Billingshurst, West Sussex

Established over 100 years ago in West Sussex our client is a specialist supplier of gauged arches, handmade bricks and architectural ceramics of unrivalled quality. Our client is and always has been a family business and has been making bricks and architectural ceramics for five generations. Over the years the company has expanded its operation to include numerous brickworks as well as acquiring the rights to Thomas Lawrence of Bracknell Red Rubber Bricks (TLB) and are now the sole providers of authentic Red Rubber material. Our client’s product range has expanded greatly in the ensuing years; they are specialist providers of gauged arches and imperial handmade bricks and specials. In addition they also manufacture traditional architectural terracotta and faience at their state of the art facilities. Wealden Sussex Sandstone is the latest addition to the portfolio.

Our client is now looking to recruit a Draughtsperson to join their team based in Billingshurst, West Sussex. Our client is seeking applications from candidates from a technical background within Architecture or Engineering that can apply their knowledge to this specialist area. Applicants must be CAD literate and will ideally be fully conversant with Microstation and Solid Works.
Reporting to the Operations Manager the successful applicant’s responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, submitting and editing of Solid Works/CAD drawings for Archworks & Brickworks bespoke contracts
• Chasing approval of drawings submitted and liaising with Client/Architects
• Preparing other CAD drawings when requested by Sales Director
• Liaising representatives to ascertain design information on bespoke contracts
