Director/Designate - Bristol

Our client is a well established and award winning architectural practice based in Bristol who work primarily on large scale residential and commercial/mixed-use projects.

Having recently secured several large projects our client is now looking to stragecially expand their senior management team with a Designate Director, who has experience of large scale housing projects.

Candidates wishing to apply for this position must have at least 5 years UK experience and have experience working on large scale residential developments of 50+ units projects and or mixed use commercial projects. All applicants must be confident self starters that can work with very little supervision, manage a job and be comfortable dealing directly with clients, planners and local authorities.

Candidates wishing to apply will be required to have a thorough knowledge of:

• Lifetime Homes
• Housing Quality Indicators (HQI)
• SAP and Code for Sustainable Homes knowledge would be advantageous but not essential

You will be required to carry out and oversee the preparation of conceptual urban design and planning work, feasibility studies, masterplanning and development briefs. It will be a major part of your role to oversee the preparation of planning applications and manage through the entire planning application process. You will also programme work with other directors to ensure that it can be effectively managed within the existing staff resources; ensuring that each project, at a planning stage, has a completed Designers Risk Assessment, in accordance with CDM requirements and.
