An opportunity now exists for an experienced Architect to step in to a Design Manager role within a private residential developer based in Islington.

You will be working on projects ranging from £2-£60million in value, and often between 3-6 projects at any one time. Whilst working alongside the in-house team, you will also be responsible for appointing and leading external consultants including design, planning, technical and commercial construction professionals.
You will assess suitable land purchases with the land buyers and work with them to put bids together, drawing concept schemes and then defining the development brief for consultants. You will also work with the construction manager and quantity surveyor during the development of construction drawings and the build, to ensure that the design, quality, budget and programme are maintained.
Finally, this position will see you achieving successful building permissions and driving the best value from the development site. This includes negotiation with the local government on financial contributions.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
Salary is negotiable depending on experience and will range from £45,000 – £60,000 per annum. In addition, staff receive an annual discretionary bonus and access to the company car pool for meetings and site visits. You would be joining a diverse and sociable team who often plan team dinners and after work drinks.
