Design Architect – Winchester Hampshire

This role would suit an Architect with drive and ambition to progress in their career within a highly successful practice, working on some interesting retail-based projects and involving a large amount of client interaction.

Based in the city of Winchester, the practice has a broad portfolio of work, including residential, commercial, retail, leisure, mixed use and industrial projects, ranging in value from £500k – £75 million. In recent years, the practice has continued to grow in size, and with plans for further growth, they are now looking to recruit a talented Design Architect to join the team.

Role & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be working in a busy office amongst a variety of architectural staff levels. You will be reporting to the Directors whilst working on a variety of commercial, retail and mixed-use projects through concept design to the technical RIBA stages. The role will also involve working closely with clients and external contractors whilst producing design drawings to an excellent standard.

Required Skills & Experience

A minimum of 4 years post part III professional experience
Excellent concept design skills
Proven track record of success with complex planning applications for mixed use projects
Skilled with AutoCAD – Revit would be desirable
Sketching Ability
Able to show the desire and ability for progression to a more senior role within the business.

Salary & Package

The role will offer a salary of £38,000 – £40,000 depending on experience, along with a pension scheme, payment of professional memberships, and office shutdown over the Christmas holidays.
