Design Architect - Islington, London

An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an experienced design lead Architect to join a prestigious AJ top 25 practice based in Islington on a permanent basis immediately.

Established over 40 years ago, the company is now placed in the top 25 of the AJ120 with over 140 staff. They are one of very few large practices to achieve a 50:50 gender balance, and welcome staff from all sorts of places and backgrounds, creating a diverse and enjoyable working atmosphere.

The firm are renowned for their concentration in architecture, master planning and urban design; and focus on urban regeneration and creating entire new villages and cities. With a great emphasis on sustainability, they have successfully grown an enviable, award winning portfolio of projects throughout most of the London boroughs and across England.

Role & Responsibilities

Working closely with a medium to large team, you will be working on a variety of large Residential projects in London ranging in values of up to around £60million, amongst other Mixed-use and Regeneration projects. You will be focusing on the earlier RIBA stages, including pre-planning applications and concept design.

Required Skills & Experience

• Part III Qualified
• Experience working as an Architect for a minimum of 2-3 years
• A minimum of 2 years UK experience
• Proficient in using Revit
• Experience working on all Residential project types
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and standards
• Strong design skills
• A solid understanding of legacy CAD applications and practices, particularly AutoCAD would be advantageous
• Highly articulate and able to communicate to clients and colleagues on all levels
• Experience working on large Mixed-use and Commercial developments would be admirable

Salary & Package:

In addition to a highly competitive basic salary ranging from £37,000 to £44,000 dependent on experience plus benefits including Pension, Healthcare and 31 days holiday including bank holidays.
