Job Summary

Customer Care Manager Job Midhurst is a permanent Sales & Customer Care opportunity covering two distinctive residential developments. The role supports high-end listed building conversions in Midhurst and Tooting, with both sites offering long-term project continuity. You will manage customer care standards from exchange through completion and throughout the defects process. This position combines customer communication, quality inspections, site coordination, team management and subcontractor liaison. Customer Care Manager Job Midhurst requires close working relationships across customer care, production and sales teams. The successful candidate will help maintain high presentation, construction and service standards across both developments. You will also support handovers, home demonstrations, defect resolution and performance reporting across assigned sites. The role offers hybrid working, with regular site attendance and homeworking available after probation. Housebuilding experience is a strong advantage, although relevant customer care management backgrounds will also be considered.

About the Company

The employer is a niche residential developer producing around 150 homes each year. Its developments focus on high-end homes where individual properties can differ significantly in character and specification. Current work includes listed building conversions, including former hospital buildings being transformed into residential accommodation. The two developments offer potentially five to six years of work and established project teams. Customer service is a clear priority, alongside presentation, construction quality and responsive defect management. The business works across customer care, production and sales to maintain consistent standards throughout delivery. This role joins that environment with responsibility for both an established development and a newer site requiring additional customer care setup.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as the main Customer Care contact on site, coordinating customers, project teams and operatives
  • Build positive customer relationships from exchange, providing regular updates throughout the progression of each sale
  • Conduct thorough quality inspections on completed units and ensure identified items are closed promptly
  • Record inspection details accurately using Fieldview and maintain appropriate plot records within COINS
  • Conduct professional home demonstrations, explaining property features, maintenance requirements and customer care support
  • Work proactively with subcontractors to resolve defects promptly while keeping customers informed of appointment changes
  • Attend project build and sales meetings, reviewing progress, presentation, handovers and legal completions

Skills & Experience Required

  • At least five years of experience within construction or a Customer Care Management role
  • Sound practical knowledge of the construction process, ideally supported by previous on-site working experience
  • Experience managing a team and supporting colleagues to maintain required performance and service standards
  • Listed building experience is desirable for work across the current high-end conversion developments
  • Strong communication, organisation, problem solving, cost management and attention to detail are required
  • Sound understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities and financial awareness relating to cost management
  • Computer literacy across Word, Excel and email, together with a clean driving licence

Salary & Benefits

  • circa £55,000 total package
  • £4,500 car allowance included within the total package
  • Hybrid working across the Midhurst and Tooting developments
  • Potentially five to six years of work across the current developments

Who Is This Role Ideal For?

This role suits an experienced customer care professional who values high service and construction standards. Candidates with housebuilding experience will bring useful knowledge of completions, defects, handovers and customer expectations. Experience within a national housebuilder can be positive, but broader customer care backgrounds are also considered. The position also suits someone comfortable working across two developments and managing competing priorities. Experience with listed buildings would be particularly relevant to the current conversion projects. Strong communication, organisation and practical construction knowledge will support effective performance across the role.
