Contracts Supervisor (12 Month Contract) - Kent

Our client is a leading UK independent house builder, construction and development company and they now need a Contracts Supervisor to join their team, working on site in Kent for a fixed-term contract of 12 months. The role would suit a Site Manager, Contracts Supervisor, Assistant Site Manager or Site Foreman and you must have experience in timber frame buildings.

Established for over 40 years, the group has a reputation for quality and have won several awards for their work. They are focused on delivering housing and commercial schemes which enhance their surroundings and local communities. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will ensure their sites meet health & safety, customer service and construction standards whilst delivering schemes on time, within budget and to expected standards of quality.

Role & Responsibilities

• On-site supervision of the timber frame erector crew
• On-site liaison with the Principal Contractor’s Site Manager
• Daily reporting to the Contract Manager of site activity, issues and progress
• Weekly project reporting to head office
• Recorded Quality Inspections
• Ensure HSE performance on site
• Undertake handovers of the timber frames
• Record progress of work against the plan
• Setting the crew to work, managing and coordinating daily and weekly work tasks

Required Skills & Experience

• Must have experience as a Site Manager, Contracts Supervisor, Assistant Site Manager or Site Foreman (potentially a qualified timber frame erector or joinery gang leader will also be considered for the role)
• Experience in timber frame building is essential
• Ability to lead a team on site
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders

• CSCS card or 5-day SMSTS is essential

• Salary of £45,000 – £50,000 per annum + mileage + expenses
