Role & Responsibilities

• Work on conservation and heritage projects across all RIBA stages from concept through to completion
• Prepare design and technical drawings to support restoration and refurbishment of historic buildings
• Communicate directly with clients and heritage stakeholders throughout project delivery
• Provide guidance and direction to project team members on conservation best practices
• Collaborate with heritage organisations and consultants to support project outcomes
• Undertake research into conservation methods and historic building techniques
• Support delivery of retrofit projects within heritage and listed building environments
• Use Vectorworks for design development and technical coordination across projects

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum five years UK architectural experience with focus on conservation projects
• Strong experience working across all RIBA stages on heritage or listed building schemes
• Demonstrated passion for conservation and historic building preservation
• AABC accreditation beneficial or willingness to work towards accreditation
• Proficiency in Vectorworks beneficial with training available if required
• Strong technical knowledge of traditional construction methods and materials
• Good communication skills for working with clients and heritage stakeholders
• Full UK driving licence with access to transport due to rural location

• Salary offered dependent on experience and level within the practice
• Hybrid working with one day per week working from home
• 20 days annual leave increasing to 25 days with service plus bank holidays
