Role & Responsibilities

  • Prepare schedules of condition and schedules of repair for varied building surveying assignments
  • Write clear technical reports and advise clients on maintenance, repair, and refurbishment matters
  • Manage projects from inception through completion, including contract administration and project management duties
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, local authorities, and statutory bodies across project stages
  • Advise on technical challenges and provide expert guidance across a range of building types
  • Support architecture and interior design teams with coordinated technical input and surveying advice
  • Maintain accurate records, clear communication, and professional standards throughout project delivery

Skills & Experience Required

  • BSc Hons degree in Building Surveying or an equivalent relevant building surveying qualification
  • MRICS qualified or actively looking to achieve chartership through continued professional development
  • Minimum of three years UK experience working within Building Surveying roles or consultancy environments
  • Strong technical knowledge across building pathology, refurbishment, and construction processes
  • Experience working with listed buildings and heritage projects is beneficial, but not essential
  • Client-facing approach with strong interpersonal skills and confidence advising on technical matters
  • Experience in contract administration and project management across building surveying assignments
