Bookkeeper Job in Battersea, South London

A Bookkeeper job is now available in Battersea, South London. An architectural and interior design studio is now looking for an experienced Bookkeeper with strong financial skills to join their friendly, supportive team on a full time, permanent basis!

Both a RIBA Chartered Practice and a BIID member, they offer an array of multidisciplinary services, including architectural design, interior design, and property management. Their portfolio predominately consists of high-end residences in prime areas of London, such as Kensington, Chelsea, and Westminster.

This is an excellent opportunity to build upon your existing experience working within the design industry and really make this role your own whilst being supported by the Directors and team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Directors
  • Inputting bookkeeping data
  • Financial record-keeping and reporting
  • Produce monthly fees and recoverable expense invoices and, statements for clients
  • Input all bills, credit card spending, and, staff expenses
  • Liaise with suppliers and employees requiring purchasing information
  • Enter fee information into income schedules and update and maintain client billing schedules
  • Liaison with accountants
  • Manage payment of bills and expenses
  • Responsibility for managing new staff onboarding, holidays, leave, and contracts
  • Helping produce finical reports for the Director’s financial management of the practice.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience using Xero is essential, and experience with CMAP systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Experience with payroll, VAT returns, HMRC accounts, and other relatable financial tasks
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
  • Calm under pressure and be organised, efficient and accurate
  • Ability to listen and communicate with all levels of staff and meet deadlines
  • Ideally have experience working in an architectural studio or come from a professional services background
  • Able to learn new systems and be proactive with ideas that benefit the company.
