Role & Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of fire engineering projects including external wall fire risk assessments and remediation strategies
• Oversee technical outputs ensuring compliance with UK fire safety legislation and industry standards
• Provide strategic fire safety advice to clients across a range of built environment projects
• Support and mentor engineers at varying levels, contributing to team development and growth
• Review and approve technical reports ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality standards
• Liaise with enforcing authorities and key stakeholders on complex fire safety matters
• Contribute to business development including client engagement and bid submissions
• Support development and expansion of fire consultancy services within the organisation

Skills & Experience Required

• Extensive experience delivering fire engineering consultancy services within the UK built environment sector
• Strong understanding of UK fire safety legislation, building regulations, and compliance frameworks
• Degree qualified in engineering or a related discipline relevant to fire safety
• Chartered status achieved or actively working toward chartership with a recognised professional body
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and manage technical delivery teams effectively
• Experience supporting team development and mentoring engineers within a consultancy environment
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Salary & Benefits

• Salary between £63,000 and £80,000 depending on experience
