A rare opportunity for a senior appointment of an Associate Director to take a lead in this highly successful multidisciplinary practice to join the urban design team in their office based in the beautiful countryside just outside Hampshire.
The modern office is of a team of 30 staff, which consist of Architectural, Urban Design, Town Planning and Ecology professionals. This service lead company works on a broad range of projects throughout Southern England including high end bespoke private houses, large scale housing developments, care homes, commercial and masterplanning. With plans to grow the business in the coming years our client is now looking to make a senior appointment of an Associate Director Urban designer to join their existing team and to take a leading role in the development of the urban design team.
Role & Responsibilities
Working closely with clients to develop in-depth project briefs
Carrying out site appraisals
Preparations of concept drawings, site layouts, development briefs and masterplans
Advising the form and content of design statements as part of the planning submission process
Supervising and managing junior team members
Appearing as an expert witness in urban design matters in appeals to planning applications and development inquires
Required Skills & Experience
Candidates wishing to apply for this role must possess professional qualifications in urban design and have experience working on sustainable urban extensions and large mixed use schemes. You will be able to show an understanding of urban spaces of all sizes and their impact on the communities and the environment. The role would require you to take on a great deal of client interaction, the ability to help the practice win new projects and help develop the business. Due to location you would be required to possess your own transport.
Salary & Package
The role would offer a salary of £45,000 – £55,000 depending on experience plus a generous annual performance bonus, an ’employee ownership’ bonus scheme and a contributory pension scheme.
