Associate Architect - Derby, Derbyshire

A life changing opportunity for the right individual to become an Associate Architect and to work within this well-established engineering and architectural practice based in Derbyshire.

Established in the mid-70s with the aim of creating ‘buildings that work for the client’, the company focuses on industrial architecture and works on a diverse range of sectors including high-tech manufacturing, biotechnical and pharmaceutical, energy and renewables as well as transport and housing.

Role & Responsibility

The successful candidate will be working alongside an architectural team of five, covering all RIBA stages and additionally taking on a strong management role within the business which will include the following:

• Working closely with clients to understand their goals and furthermore to develop a solution to support these goals
• Assist with presentation of proposals to the client and assist with Business Development
• Work with the client to identify additional opportunities to address their challenges
• Take a brief and develop an initial design proposal using Revit/AutoCAD and to prepare specifications for construction
• Manage planning applications, building regulations and appeals
• Inspection of buildings on-site
• Manage costs of projects during the construction stages
• Assist with the development of junior team members
• Ensure all work is produced and delivered to company standards

Required Skills & Experience

• Must be a Chartered RIBA Architect
• Have at least 10 years professional experience
• Proficient on Revit/AutoCAD
• Passion and experience within Industrial Architecture
• Experienced in Project Delivery
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task

Salary & Package

The successful candidate will be offered a salary of up to £65,000, plus the following benefits:

• 25 days holiday, which increases after 5 years’ service
