Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver large-scale conservation and cultural projects across all RIBA stages from concept to completion.
- Manage client relationships and identify new business opportunities through strategic engagement and networking.
- Oversee internal teams and coordinate consultant inputs to ensure integrated and efficient project delivery.
- Support bids, proposals, and presentations to secure new work and strengthen the practice portfolio.
- Ensure projects meet design quality expectations alongside programme timelines and agreed financial budgets.
- Represent the practice with clients, stakeholders, and consultants throughout all project phases and meetings.
- Contribute to internal leadership, mentoring junior staff and supporting professional development initiatives.
Skills & Experience Required
- ARB-registered Architect with at least 10 years post-qualification experience within UK practice environments.
- Proven experience leading large-scale or heritage projects through all RIBA stages with successful delivery outcomes.
- Strong leadership and team management skills within multidisciplinary or design-led consultancy settings.
- Excellent technical and design knowledge across conservation, refurbishment, and adaptive reuse methodologies.
- AABC accreditation or RIBA SCA or CA status is desirable for heritage and conservation project work.
- Experience working with NEC4 contracts and managing project financial performance and reporting processes.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage client expectations and contribute to business growth.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and NBS for design development, coordination, and specification writing.
