Job Summary

Associate Architect Leicester Architecture is an opportunity to lead Industrial and Logistics projects in Leicester, Leicestershire across all RIBA work stages. We are also open to considering experienced Associate Directors with a strong background in the Industrial and Logistics sector. The successful candidate will provide technical and design leadership while acting as Lead Designer on major projects from concept through completion.

You will work across RIBA Stages 0-6, managing project teams, engaging with stakeholders and ensuring projects comply with UK planning policy, Building Regulations and British Standards. This position requires excellent leadership, strong technical ability and the confidence to work independently while contributing to a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

About the Company

This opportunity is with an established AJ100 architectural practice seeking an experienced Associate Architect or Associate Director to lead its Industrial and Logistics sector. The successful candidate will contribute to major projects, support business development opportunities and mentor colleagues while maintaining high technical and design standards.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead Industrial and Logistics projects across all RIBA work stages from inception through completion
• Act as Lead Designer delivering major projects while coordinating project teams and stakeholder expectations
• Produce detailed technical drawing packages and construction information suitable for tender and delivery
• Write and review NBS specifications ensuring quality, compliance and technical accuracy throughout projects
• Apply detailed knowledge of UK town planning policy Building Regulations and relevant British Standards
• Present complex design and technical information clearly to clients stakeholders and wider project teams
• Support new business generation while helping develop and grow the Industrial and Logistics sector

Skills & Experience Required

• ARB registered Architect with proven experience delivering projects across RIBA Stages 0 to 6
• Excellent leadership skills with experience managing major projects and multidisciplinary project teams
• Strong understanding of UK town planning policy Building Regulations and British Standards requirements
• Experience producing technical drawing packages specifications and construction documentation for delivery
• Excellent presentation communication and time management skills with collaborative working approach
• Strong design ability with good Revit skills or the ability to learn new software quickly
• Experience in business development would be advantageous together with the ability to build lasting client relationships
