Role & Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation across refurbishment and remediation projects
• Support valuations, cost reporting, and procurement activities alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and project consultants
• Attend site inspections, contractor meetings, and client discussions to support project delivery and commercial management responsibilities
• Contribute towards fire safety improvement, cladding remediation, and refurbishment projects across occupied building environments
• Support contract administration duties while assisting senior consultants with project coordination and cost management activities
• Develop understanding of JCT contracts, construction legislation, and Building Safety Act requirements across live projects
• Collaborate with architecture, fire engineering, and surveying professionals to support multidisciplinary project delivery requirements
• Assist with monitoring project costs, maintaining commercial records, and supporting financial reporting throughout project stages

Skills & Experience Required

• Relevant Quantity Surveying degree completed or nearing completion within a construction related discipline
• Strong interest in progressing towards professional chartership and developing a long-term consultancy focused commercial career
• Good understanding of construction methods, procurement processes, and commercial management principles across property projects
• Awareness of current construction legislation, building regulations, and wider industry compliance requirements within project environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence preparing concise reports and professional project documentation
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritise workloads effectively across projects
• Positive and proactive approach with willingness to learn from experienced multidisciplinary construction and property professionals
• Confidence using Microsoft Office alongside interest in developing knowledge of commercial and construction software platforms

Salary & Benefits

• Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience and suitability for the position
