Architectural Technologist Job in Stevenage, Hertfordshire

Our client is a highly successful architectural practice and with the opening of their new office in Stevenage, they now have an Architectural Technologist job available. This role is a great opportunity to develop with a new office and offers a huge amount of career development potential.

Established over 30 years ago, this client has 3 large offices based across the UK and employs over 140 people made up of Architects, Technologists, Landscape Architects, Urban Designers, and Interior Designers with the sole goal of designing and delivering quality buildings. The firm has built a diverse portfolio of work in a range of project sectors including education, mixed-use, commercial, residential, and retail, and due to continued success, they are now opening a new Stevenage office and seeking experienced Architectural Technologist to join the team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Working with the Project Architect on the running of projects
  • Collate and organise technical information
  • Produce all information necessary to submit applications to all relevant statutory authorities
  • Prepare and present design proposals
  • Act as a design lead and coordinate the larger design team
  • Work directly with clients
  • Preparation of drawing packages
  • Working with ArchiCAD and Sketchup daily
  • Support in the development of the BIM model
  • Assist with the preparation of NBS specifications.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Possess a minimum of 3 years experience as an Architectural Technician
  • Experience running Projects from stage 3 onwards
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding UK building regulations is essential
  • Knowledge of BIM
  • Experience in using ArchiCAD would be highly beneficial, but training will be offered
