Architectural Technician/Technologist – Newmarket Suffolk

A sociable and supportive practice Newmarket are now looking for an Architectural technician to join them and work on a large number of residential schemes across the country.

Established over 30 years ago, the practice have built up an eclectic portfolio of UK projects in a variety of sectors including residential, commercial, retail, mixed-use, leisure, retirement and healthcare sectors. The practice is well known for its design excellence and its constantly growing team; and offers both consultancy and design services.

Role & Responsibilities

The team is made up of Architectural designers and Technicians who work closely together to ensure the buildings that they are creating is designed with technical proficiency and creative flare.

The successful candidates will be working within a small technical team on exciting residential development projects. Reporting to the Technical director you will be working on technical RIBA stages, predominantly stages 4-5, creating technical designs, tender packages and construction drawings.

Required Skills & Experience

-Must have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in professional practice
-Solid knowledge of UK Building Regulations
-Must have excellent technical detailing skills
-Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
-Experience working on residential projects
-Must feel comfortable working under your own initiative as well as part of a team
-Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills
Own transport would be required due to the location.

Salary & Package

Candidates will be offered a salary between £26,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
