Architectural Technician - Islington, London

An exciting opportunity has now arisen to work within a small chartered practice based in the beautiful location of Islington on a short term contract basis.

Established almost 50 years ago, the company is renowned for their expertise in a variety of sectors such as; Residential, Community, Healthcare, Sports and Recreation, Education and Special needs, with an eclectic list of completed projects. They are seeking a Architectural Technician to work on a large private family home, and expand their ever growing portfolio, consisting of a variety of works including the conversion of existing and historical buildings, as well as sustainable design and new build projects.

Role & Responsibilities

You will be working closely with the Principle of the company on site on a large new build family home based in Muswell Hill. You will be completing the project’s technical detailing and working on site, therefore will require a strong understanding of UK building regulations and have on site experience.

Required Skills & Experience:

• A minimum of 1 year experience working as an Architectural Technician
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
• Experience working on Residential projects
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and standards
• Experience working on the later RIBA stages up to completion
• Experience attending site meetings
• Highly articulate and able to communicate to clients and colleagues on all levels

Rate:

Alongside being rewarded a rate of £13 – £15 per hour dependent on experience, the successful candidate will be working within a small practice in a relaxed environment, with a beautiful outlook in Islington. They involve all their staff members in sharing ideas and getting involved as much as possible, so there is huge scope to learn and progress within a short period of time!
