Architectural Technician (contract) - Dunstable, Bedfordshire

Our client was formed in 2002 based on many years experience on railway projects working with major organizations. They have the experience to take a project from the Clients first ideas to design the concept and develop it through to completion if required.

Our client is now looking to recruit an Architectural Technician to join their team in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, on a contract or freelance basis.

The successful candidate will ideally be HNC qualified, or equivalent, with practical experience in UK private practice.

You must have sound knowledge of current UK building regulations with the ability to produce working drawing packages on CAD. Experience of Planning and Listed Building applications would be useful.

This position is to work on 35 sites for London Underground rail refurbishments. The potential candidate will be expected to carry out on site surveys and progress these onto plan, elevation and section drawings. The candidate must be able to interpret concept designs and apply these to a variety of projects developing them into scheme designs.

You must be fully AutoCAD proficient.

This role will be to work predominantly from home, with CAD software supplied if needed.

Our client is offering an hourly rate of up to £25 per hour dependent on experience and capabilities. This is a long term contract position with enough work to last a minimum of 1 year although there may be potential for a permanent position for motivated individuals.
