An award winning practice based in a truly stunning village in Oxfordshire benefiting from a great team atmosphere now have an opportunity for an Architectural Technician to join its residential team.
The practice is based in the south of Oxfordshire, in a stunning listed building on the riverside with some great views. Established over 25 years ago, this practice operates teams of Urban designers, Planners, and Architects; all working closely together to achieve a high level of planning approval.
This design led practice works on wide range of projects across residential, education, conservation and sustainable housing. They are now looking for a talented member to assist the urban design team with work relating to residential design and housing site layouts.
Role & Responsibilities
Working on RIBA stages 0-3
Working closely with the Urban design team
Help produce site layout designs for planning consent.
Produce accurate and detailed design house type elevations.
Support junior members of staff
Required Skills & Experience
Experience in working on residential projects contemporary and traditional housing on greenfield and regeneration schemes at a range of scales.
Experience in preparing site layout designs for planning consent and reserved matters applications.
Experience using Vectorworks, Adobe Suite, and SketchUp would be advantageous but is not essential
The ability to input Design and Access Statements including an awareness of opportunities and site constraints.
Preferable experience in both contemporary and traditional housing on greenfield and regeneration schemes at a range of scales.
Experience in preparing site layout designs for planning consent.
Able to show experience of working with house types – the ability to design house type elevations and work with standard and nonstandard floorplates.
Salary & Package
The role would offer a salary of £26,000 to £37,000 depending on experience, in addition to the following benefits:
