Role & Responsibilities

• Advise on health and safety matters across architectural projects in line with current regulations
• Lead Principal Designer duties across projects ensuring compliance with Building Safety Act requirements
• Review and critically appraise design risk assessments submitted to regulatory authorities
• Support preconstruction health and safety planning and coordination across project teams
• Provide detailed knowledge on cladding systems and façade typologies within project delivery
• Coordinate health and safety information and documentation throughout preconstruction phases
• Work closely with clients and design teams to ensure consistent safety standards across projects
• Develop guidance materials and contribute to best practice development within the organisation

Skills & Experience Required

• ARB registered Architect with experience working on high risk buildings within the UK
• Strong understanding of the Building Safety Act 2022 and associated regulatory frameworks
• Experience reviewing design risk assessments and managing health and safety processes
• Knowledge of cladding systems and façade construction within remediation or retrofit projects
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary design teams across project stages
• Experience using Revit is advantageous for coordination and technical delivery
• Strong communication skills to engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies
• Willingness to undertake further training and development towards Principal Designer registration
