This is a large, award winning architectural practice that has offices in both London and West Sussex. The practice is involved in the design and delivery of a broad range of projects including residential, commercial, education and civic. With a number of new projects confirmed and with plans to expand, my client is now looking to recruit an Architect to join their West Sussex team of 50.
Established over 27 years ago, the company is an Architectural and Town Planning practice run by ten Directors and five Associates UK wide. The team consists of a number of Architectural, Technological and Administrative staff, specialising in a variety of sectors such as; Housing, Education, Commercial, Community, and are experts at Master planning for both urban and rural sites. Over the years, they have been shortlisted for more than 20 design awards including; 4 RIBA Awards, 4 Civic Trust Awards, 4 Residential Design Awards, and 7 Education Design Awards.
Role & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to simultaneously lead a number projects, ranging from small infill schemes, to large urban extension projects, ranging anywhere from £1 million to £200 million in construction value. Projects will include working with house builders, private developers and housing associations preparing feasibility drawings, masterplans, planning application packages and achieving planning permissions
Required Skills & Experience
A minimum of 5 years UK experience working within the residential sector
Experience with house builder led schemes would be highly advantages
Demonstrable experience in running large urban extension projects, from inception to planning permissions
Possess good attention to detail
Strong knowledge of planning standards and UK building regulations
Skilled with the use of AutoCAD and Sketch-up
Salary & Package:
This position is offering a salary of £35,000 – £40,000 dependent on experience. In addition to this you will be offered a selection of generous benefits.
