Job Summary

Architect – Architecture Job in Brighton – £36,000 – £40,000 – This is a permanent position within an award-winning Architecture practice, working on multi-unit residential, regeneration and conservation-led projects. A minimum of three days per week in the Brighton studio is required, with flexibility around family needs.

About the Company

This Architecture practice is an established, design-led studio with offices in Sussex and London. The Brighton team currently comprises 10 staff working in an open, collaborative environment with Directors actively involved in day-to-day studio life.

The practice has a strong focus on residential design, including multi-unit housing, council-led affordable housing, regeneration and strategic land projects. It also undertakes hotel, conservation and refurbishment schemes, combining contextual sensitivity with contemporary design thinking.

The studio has developed a reputation for delivering thoughtful, socially conscious Architecture, with wellbeing and long-term team development embedded in its culture. Current growth has created the need for an Architect to strengthen delivery capability at mid-level.

Role & Responsibilities

• Work across multiple live Architecture projects concurrently
• Immediate involvement in a Hotel restoration and new-build project on Brighton seafront
• Contribute to multi-unit residential schemes including council-led housing
• Support regeneration and strategic land masterplanning initiatives
• Lead design development packages under senior guidance
• Collaborate in studio-wide design reviews and workshops
• Liaise with consultants, clients and local authorities as required
• Produce and coordinate Revit models and drawing packages

Skills & Experience Required

• ARB Registered Architect (Part 3 qualified) Ideally 2+ years’ post-Part 3 experience
• Proven experience delivering multi-unit residential schemes
• Experience using Revit on live project delivery
• Exposure to affordable or council housing projects desirable
• Confident working semi-independently within a collaborative studio
• Strong design awareness with technical understanding
• Presentation skills including hand sketching and/or Photoshop advantageous
