Architect - Sevenoaks, Kent

Opportunity to join an award winning, RIBA Chartered Architectural practice based in Kent.

The firm have a desirable portfolio of outstanding and unique residential commissions, alongside commercial, retail, education and hospitality projects nationally including one of the world’s largest fast food chains.

Recently just finished work on a £71m mixed used scheme in London, they are now looking to recruit an experienced and talented Architect to take a variety of projects throughout the process, from initial stages to delivery focusing on the residential sector. Presently, 80% of the firm’s projects are residential, with the remainder in the retail and commercial sector.

Role & Responsibilities

-The ability to produce high quality technical drawing packages
-Taking project through from initial concept design through to onsite completion
-Coordinating information required to support planning applications.
-Developing drawings and specifications for building regulations applications.
-Preparing detailed construction information and specifications.
-Good knowledge of current building regulations

Required Skills & Experience

• Part III Qualified (RIBA/ARB) with a minimum of 3 years professional UK experience
• A natural flare for design, including strong hand-drawing ability and visualisation skills
• Strong experience in concept and detailed design
• A thorough, technical understanding of UK construction

Salary & Package

Candidates will be offered a generous salary of up to £42,000, plus pensions, 23 days holiday and annual bonus. The successful individual will be joining a team of 20, who are steadily continuing to grow. The practice does throw office social events, namely on St Patrick’s Day and a Christmas party. They do also sometimes have a summer days out, which in the past has either been a trip to beach for a BBQ or a day out at Goodwood Racecourse. The company try to get to the pub all together once a month on a Friday evening.

Working hours can be flexible, depending on situations.
