Architect / Project Architect

A prestigious Residential and Commercial practice in Camden is seeking a highly talented Architect / Project Architect to join their friendly, expanding team and work on some exciting projects in the UK and globally.

Established in 2008, the company consists of a vibrant team of Architectural staff as well as an in-house Interior Design team. They predominantly specialise in the residential sector, working both on refurbishment and new build projects for a selection of private clients in the UK and world wide. The firm have established a reputation for innovative, contemporary design and delivery of homes and apartments to the highest finish, across a large range of project values.

As well as their focus in the residential sector, the practice have also taken on a great amount of luxury hospitality projects on an international scale.

Role & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be very much responsible for the client facing aspects of a project, whilst also drawing up technical details and tender packages. You will be working on a variety of projects in the residential and luxury hospitality sectors in the UK; including some on-going schemes in Spain, and a beach house in the Caribbean.

As and when appropriate, you will be asked to join the team on site visits to luxury locations abroad, as well as projects in the UK.

Required Skills and Experience

• RIBA Part III qualified (or equivalent)
• A minimum of 2 years professional experience in hospitality design and construction
• Excellent technical and construction knowledge
• Experience attending site meetings and assessing services and requirements of new sites
• Confident attending client meetings, liaising with clients and building/managing client relationships
• Strong presentation skills and experience presenting to clients
• Confident liaising with all contractors and subcontractors
• Highly proficient in AutoCAD
• Knowledge in Revit would be advantageous; but training will be supplied for a candidate willing to learn
• Experience of working on international projects would be beneficial

Salary & Package

In addition to being rewarded with a competitive salary between £30,000 – £45,000, successful candidates will also receive an annual salary and performance review, discretionary bonuses, a pension scheme from February 2017, and 28 days holiday entitlement which increases by 1 day per year of service.
