Architect - London (EC)

Our client was formed ten years ago, in succession to the original Partnership founded in 1954 as an atelier of like minded people with a shared interest in a rational approach to design.

With the Brunel Centre in Swindon, and some notable apartment buildings (two of which have recently been Listed), the firm has inherited a diverse portfolio of buildings and projects, and a prevalent concern for context. At every scale in this work, the desire to create coherent spatial relationships with the surrounding fabric is a significant determinant in the design. Adaptation of existing buildings plays an increasingly important role in their work and they take pride and care in sensitive interventions to, and conservation of, protected buildings both in London and Suffolk where they have completed a number of projects in recent years.

They have designed a number of innovative but practical Primary Health Care facilities over the last ten years in the London area, following the success of our Highgate Clinic, and several of these are now being revisited to address changing needs in health care. One has recently been completed in Wandsworth, which they formerly converted from a church hall eight years ago.

They cover a range of project sectors including; interiors, housing, healthcare, houses, studios, commercial and leisure facilities.

Our client is now looking to recruit an Architect with excellent design skills required to join their small, well established practice to work on a variety of interesting projects.

The successful candidate will be RIBA Part 3 qualified, ARB registered and has previous experience working within a UK based private practice.

Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred.
