Architect (High-end Residential) - Kensington, London

An opportunity now exists, on either a permanent or contract basis, for an experienced Architect to join a luxury architectural practice in Kensington.

The Company…

A small, but rapidly expanding luxury residential practice based in the centre of the functional and stylish High Street Kensington. The firm have taken on a number of full and part time staff members over the last 6 months, and are looking for others to join their friendly team of professionals in order to keep up with project demand.

Their projects range from small renovation and extension works on terraced houses, through to renovations on super prime London properties in excess of £10million per project. They are currently working on a number of Grade II listed townhouse renovations and apartment commissions falling within conservation areas in the Kensington and Holland Park areas of London; and a variety of extension and new build projects on the periphery of London, including a Code 5 sustainable homes project.

They have also recently tendered on 2 hotel schemes, with each offering various constraints and challenges!

Typically, their schemes are in excess of £1million, giving them the opportunity to have bespoke doors, furniture and fittings made for their elite clients.

What you need for the role…

The successful individual will be required to demonstrate first hand examples of detailed planning knowledge, along with the relevant technical details. In addition, these projects naturally require a high level of design and aesthetics, so a natural creative flare is essential.

Experience working through all RIBA project stages, including construction experience, would be highly beneficial; and candidates must be good communicators with the ability to liaise with clients and third parties, as well as working well as part of a small team.
