A fantastic opportunity for a driven and talented Architect to join one of the UK’s largest independent property partnerships in Guildford, in a role offering a great progression plan with the potential to move into an Associates position. Based in the heart in Guildford with only short walk to the train station and with direct links to central London, the office is surrounded by great pubs, bars, restaurants and shops.

The successful candidate will be working for a company which has the backing from one of the largest UK independent property firms which was founded over 100 years ago. With over 800 staff across their network of offices in the UK, my client has built an enviable reputation in the field of high-end bespoke residential projects and private properties with values ranging from £250,000 up to £30 million.

Roles & Responsibilities

Having recently taken on a number of projects and with a significant pipeline of confirmed work our client is now looking to recruit a personable and technically minded Architect to take a role in delivering projects from inception through to completion. The role will also have strong client facing element which will additionally involve preparing and issuing tender documents whilst running a competitive tender process.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Part III qualified with good job running experience
  • Have previously work across all RIBA stages
  • A good understanding of UK building regulations
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Be able to produce detailed designs and specifications on multiple projects
  • Demonstrate a strong technical background ? Have a wealth of site experience
  • Ideally have worked on high-end residential or conservation projects
  • Strong client facing experience (inc. maintaining key client relationships)
  • Outstanding communication skills (written, spoken and drawn)
  • Ability to take lead role on own projects whilst having flexibility to contribute to efforts of other project teams simultaneously
