Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate Building Control packages with consultants, contractors, and officers to ensure full regulatory compliance
- Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications aligned with Stage 4 and Stage 5 delivery requirements
- Manage individual work packages to maintain programme deadlines and ensure coordinated design output
- Oversee transition from tender documentation to construction issue with clear and compliant information
- Attend site regularly to review progress and ensure construction aligns with approved technical design
- Collaborate with internal design and technical teams to resolve coordination challenges efficiently
- Support conservation requirements through careful detailing and material specification decisions
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum three years UK experience with a focus on technical delivery and construction coordination
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, additional experience in Vectorworks preferred
- Working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Building Control submission processes
- Proven experience on listed buildings or heritage projects requiring sensitive design interventions
- Strong understanding of construction detailing using traditional materials and methods
- Ability to undertake elements of contract administration – including contractor RFIs, CVIs and submittals, as well as feeding into Instructions
- Ability to manage consultants and resolve technical queries independently under project deadlines
- Clear communication skills to support coordination between multidisciplinary project stakeholders
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £45,000+ pro rata depending on experience level
- Fixed-term or freelance contract of 6 months with potential extension
- Hybrid working arrangement with two days in the studio, 1 day on site and 2 WFH days
- Standard working hours of 9.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday
